PongBallz FAQ
Quick answers about the game, online play, and stakes. Can't find yours? Start with how to play or jump into a match.
Is PongBallz free to play?
Yes. Playing PongBallz — solo, local, or online multiplayer — is completely free in your browser with no install or account. SOL stakes are only involved if you explicitly choose a wager match.
What platforms does PongBallz run on?
Any modern browser on desktop or mobile. Desktop uses arrow keys or W/S; mobile uses slide gestures.
How is PongBallz different from classic pong?
A real physics engine (Box2D in WebAssembly) drives every ball and paddle, and a wall of breakable bricks sits mid-field, so rebounds, brick lanes, and multi-ball play make every match different.
Is online multiplayer fair?
Online matches are server-authoritative: the server runs the same physics simulation and is the source of truth for scoring, which prevents client-side cheating.
What is a wager match?
A head-to-head skill match where both players deposit a SOL stake into an on-chain Solana escrow before playing. The winner takes the pot when the result settles on-chain. See the wager matches page for details.
What happens to my stake if a match is abandoned?
The escrow program supports refunds: if a match cannot complete, stakes are returned to both players. Every deposit, settlement, and refund is verifiable on any Solana explorer.
Do I need a crypto wallet to play?
No — a wallet is only needed for wager matches. Casual and competitive play without stakes never asks for one.
Who can play wager matches?
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction, and it is your responsibility to confirm skill-gaming with stakes is permitted where you live.
